I know a lot of this website is very analytical and business like, but I thought I would shake things up today as the weekend is here and it’s time to have some fun!
Here’s a very unique way to make gold, the video above is a player who multiboxes 5 Shaman’s and puts on a “light show” in Orgrimmar for tips. (Thanks goes out to one of our writers Wingman for finding the video)
He even says in the video that he only makes around 80g/hour doing it but I’m sure the smiles he brings on the faces of others is well worth it to him.
I commend him for thinking of a unique way to make some tips, if he thought of some other ideas I’d think he could put together a whole show and charge even more.. On RP servers this would probably be a huge hit! Obviously he doesn’t care about the gold return and is just doing what everyone should be in a game… having fun!
I’ve heard of other ways to make gold in the game, there’s begging, those gambling games, even back in the day I’d make bets against other DPS in my raid that I’d beat them so we’d put a wager on it.
Do you guys know of any unique ways to make gold in the game like this? I’m interested to hear.

Back in Vanilla WoW I would post auctions of saved in game mail. I forget what the item it creates is when you save a mail, but it is a very generic name. I would put these on the AH for 10g and sometimes they even sold!
Also, another thing I used to do, but there is not a lot of profit in it at todays inflation compared to Vanilla WoW was to put vendor sold mats on the AH at a small markup. When someone does not want to pay the inflated prices of already crafted items, like bags, they get the mats themselves from the AH and hand to another character to make for a small tip. This saves them money normally. By putting these vendor sold items on the AH, you can take advantage of people’s laziness (buy everything in one place) or lack of knowledge of tradeskills.
