Every Tuesday we have maintenance on servers that last for 6 hours on average. During this time period bids are still ticking and if you previously bid on anything that was ending within that 6 hour time window where the server is down you’re guaranteed to win it as long as you are the highest bidder before the servers go down.

Tomorrow, Tuesday June 8th 2010 will be unique as a large amount of servers will be down for 24 hours, from 12:01 PDT Tuesday morning (Monday night) till Wednesday 12:01 PDT (Tuesday night). This brings a special opportunity as it will extend that window of bids you’ll win from 6 hours to 24 hours where all bids will end with the highest bid someone placed at 12:01 with a time left of less than 24 hours.

Whenever I hear someone telling me about a shift of prices to do with their market I immediately assume it’s just something going on with their server and they are over exaggerating.

However this issue has come up so much in the last week that I’ve had to finally bring it up as I’ve consistently noticed it on my own server as well and heard about it from other blogs I follow.

Raw Material Prices Going Up

Why do prices rise? There is either a rise in demand or a drop in supply. Seeing as how less people are playing WoW these days compared to before I wouldn’t pin it on this.

Example:

Adder’s Tongue

Average price bought for : 82s each

Last 14 day average = 1g 23s each

Average in the last 3 days = 1g 39s

Notice that all 4 price averages are steadily increasing since people started reporting the wave of bots banned at the end of May. I have found it increasingly difficult to keep my herb stock up at my buy price of under 90s each.

The main purpose of this post however is to get some feedback from the community here

Have you noticed a rise in prices or much less herbs/ore on the AH? Do you suspect this is due to botters getting banned?

Have you had any of your suppliers suddenly stop logging on?

reply in the comments below.

After taking my break in Cuba for the week I’ve returned to the Jewelcrafting market astonished at all the low priced raw epic gems currently available. My snatch list has been filling up with epic gems to buy.

We predicted this epic gem crash would happen because of the recent changes with the battleground changes and increased amount of honor gained. This caused a flood of people not only trying out the new random BG finder but also get more honor in the process.

Another factor for the price drop in epics has been the drop in players logging in, lower demand = lower price, but keep in mind that as the Icecrown raid buff keeps increasing that will allow those players who previously couldn’t progress past Putricide to start downing more and more bosses, more bosses downed = more gear = higher demand for gems.

Here’s a chart of how the prices have been affected on my server. I am fairly confident most players have experienced price drops in raw epic gems on their servers.

So it looks like a 30% drop in prices across the board. Auctioneer market price takes a little bit of time to bring down the average since it’s saying only a 12% drop, but the change happened so fast that it’ll take a while to reflect in it’s market price calculations.

Keep in mind that this data was obtained at the start of peak time on Tuesday, prices are usually lowest on Sunday and Monday and rise again later Tuesday night, Wednesday and Thursday.

I am going to be changing the price at which I buy my raw gems at and lower my threshold I sell cut gems in my Quick Auctions config. None of my higher end gems have been selling because I’m still assuming my “cost” to make a Bold Cardinal Ruby is 164g but it has now dropped to 101g.

Pretty interesting to see though the price for Earthsiege diamonds has gone up almost double and Skyflare up 25%, shows the demand is high still for gems but it’s just not benefiting from the honor change since they can’t be sourced that way.

Is this pretty consistent with the epic gem price drop you’ve experienced on your servers?

I was a little worried after patch 3.3.3 went live as a lot of items I invested in didn’t experience the surge I was expecting them to.

However all my fears were set at ease yesterday as I checked up on the Eternal Fire and Titanium bar markets, which were the majorty of my investments

Eternal Fire

I predicted the rise in price of eternal fire due to everyone wanting to pump out titansteel bars now that the cooldown has been removed. I was aware that many players would convert frozen orbs into eternal fires which would cause a temporary supply dump after the patch was released but now that the majority of the dump is over there is nothing left to mass supply the AH of eternal fires.

I invested 12,300g into 861 eternal fires, that’s 15g each. The price has now climbed to 50g each as the minimum price. I don’t expect this price to be sustainable but I hope that it will settle at my predicted 30g each. Which would give me a 100% ROI or 12,300g profit.

Titanium Bar

I also invested a good deal of gold into 250 titanium bars, this market I expected to go up also due to the titansteel surge in crafting however this price isn’t dampered down by frozen orbs. That means that the current price should be the highest it’ll go and I only expect it to go lower as a flood of titansteel will bring down the price of titansteel thus bring down the cost of the main material to make it.

BoE Engineer Pets

This is by far my highest profit so far in the patch! I’ve been lucky enough that only 2 other engineers are attempting to make gold from this method which is slowing down the drop in price. I am currently selling these at 380g each and they only take 35g to craft. I’ve been selling around 2/day so far which is a nice 700g/day profit boost in my earnings. I’ll be honest and say that I have been slacking off on creating the pet bombling though, I need to get on that.

I’m curious to hear, what are you profiting the most from so far in patch 3.3.3?

Finally patch 3.3.3 is upon us and with it comes a lot of changes to the PvP system, AH interface, Dungeon kick options and of course Economic changes..

Hopefully you have been subscribed to our RSS feed or E-Mail Newsletter (check right sidebar to sign up) previously to be aware of the post detailing how to profit from patch 3.3.3 and alerting everyone of economic changes and what you should of done 2 weeks ago to buy up items at dirt cheap prices that will inflate in this patch, it is too late right now to act on any of that advice.

However there are things you can do tonight and this week as some unique gold making opportunities will arise.

Frozen Orbs – Fronzo

Everyone will be turning in their hoarded up frozen orbs into Eternal fires and Frost Lotus. The price of frozen orbs will spike and the price of eternal fires and frost lotus will plummet

- Action item: If frozen orbs rise above the cost of either eternal fires or frost lotus I’d sell them without conversion. If they go above 30g I’d think about selling them as well.

- Since everyone will be dumping their frozen orbs into converted items, be aware of those items dipping very low and buying them up! My servers average price of frost lotus is currently 35g and frozen orbs might bring it down to 15g, I’ll buy them at this price point as I expect the price to settle at more like 25g. Same goes for Eternal fire drop in price, if it goes too low this is a buying opportunity. This is the main way I make gold using the lessons that the WoW Schools guide taught me.

- Now that frost lotus are available via frozen orbs I’d expect to see a rise in price of other Northrend herbs, since a lot of people only go out gathering herbs to get frost lotus. This will dry up the supply for scribes so expect higher herb costs.

Honor Dump into Gems

I wrote all about this in a previous post. Summary is that I expect gem prices to plummet for a week with players turning in all their marks of honor, in x10′s and singles, now that they can no longer earn these marks from PvP or buy anything with them anymore. Even though players are still buying honor PvP items and the mounts can be bought with straight honor I expect you’ll get a lot of players that will have money signs in their eyes once they see how much honor they have and how much gold they can get by turning them into gems.

Twestersoe had a good comment to add to this – “With the increase in pvp activities, it will most likely highten the demand for resi, gems. So maybe get a few of the Epic recipes for PvP, or the recipes bought from StoneShards.” – Price drop of gems might be balanced out by the increase demand from the population spike.

Scand also commented on that post – “Spaming your jc macro in trade will prob generate alot more gold when patch hits aswell.”

- further reading: Gem Price drop in Patch 3.3.3

Pet Bombling and Lil’Sparky Bind on Equip

For you engineers, hopefully you took the advice to buy up core of earth and hearts of fire so that you can craft these pets which can now be sold on the auction house! This will be a nice steady stream of income as long as a bunch of engineers don’t oversaturate the market.

Further reading: Pet Bombling and Lil’Sparky Bind on Equip

AH Interface Changes

The auction house will have some updates to it, you can now post in set amount of stacks. Bad part about this is you’ll see a lot more occurances of someone posting x1 auctions in pages on the AH. Also this will cut down on the amount of “resale” deals you find since it will be harder to mess up your price. (People thinking the are posting stacks of 1 of 20 items but really post that whole stack at the 1 price)

Another thing that will be an issue with these changes is their potential to really mess up auction house addons. I will be researching this and reporting back on the blog and problems and fixes I find as soon as possible. My biggest concern lies in Quick auctions 3.

Well here we go! I love patches as they bring a ton of players back into the game and you make your most sales during these next 2 weeks. Be sure to fully stock the auction house with items you can craft at a profit and be ready to set record numbers in sales.

Keep you eyes on the shifts in the market, buy up anything that goes really low and utilize WoW Schools guide as these prices should rebound “a bit” after the initial dump of hoarded frozen orbs and honor goes away and that is where your profit will come from.

Patch 3.3.3 is just around the corner and with it comes a whole slue of changes, I have previously posted my predictions of what the majority of the market impacts would be and we’ve already seen major shifts in items like frozen orbs and frost lotus.

There is another change I haven’t touched on yet but given my new indulgence in jewelcrafting I couldn’t help but think of how gems are sourced and what changes that are occuring in patch 3.3.3 can affect the supply and demand of gems.

As you all know epic uncut gems can be bought with 10,000 honor, players rarely grind honor just to buy epic gems as you can only make around 1200 honor an hour which would take 8 hours for one epic gem which is horrible gold/hour.

However Blizzard is releasing new changes to the honor system as they feel that the rate that players gain PvP gear has lagged behind the rate that PvE gear is attained. They are fixing this situation by making the following changes:

The amount of Honor awarded for an Honorable Kill has been increased by 100% for characters of all levels. This change will effectively double the amount of Honor received from Honorable Kills, or for completing Battleground and Wintergrasp objectives; however, the amount of experience gained from completing Battleground objectives and the amount of Honor rewarded for completing each Wintergrasp quest remain unchanged.

Bonus rewards will be offered for choosing the Random Battleground option.

Winning a Battleground using the Random Battleground option for the first time in a day will award players with 30 Honorable Kills worth of additional Honor currency and 25 Arena points.

Winning additional Battlegrounds using the Random Battleground option after the first random win will award players with 15 Honorable Kills worth of additional Honor currency.

Battlegrounds will no longer award Marks of Honor.

Players with existing Marks of Honor can still turn them in to their respective faction’s quest givers, including individual marks for those who may have more marks for one Battleground than another.

Items which previously required Marks of Honor will have their costs adjusted to remove these requirements.

(Source)

I highlighted some key points here. I believe the drop in epic gem prices will only be temporary but it will be a significant drop. Currently it is more economical for PvPers to save up their marks of honor for the “For Great Honor” quest turn in that awards 1,489 honor which equals 248 honor per token.

Under this new system you can turn in single marks of honor for 185 honor each, players will turn in all of their remaining marks come patch 3.3.3 which will be a huge rise in honor.

Rise in PvP Activity

With the new random battleground feature players will flock to see what it’s all about and give it a try, just like the random dungeon feature. This will cause a lot of honor being gained by players.

One thing to keep in mind is we are only half way into the the Arena season so most players haven’t finished their gear sets, but in a few weeks time they will have all their pieces and their honor gains are going to be much higher than they were post 3.3.3.

So the question is.. will honor now be gained fast enough to make grinding it for epic gems viable? You’d have to be able to get closer to 5,000 honor an hour for this to come close however I know people just enjoy to PvP even after they have all the gear and now since they’ll no longer be able to stock pile honor up before a reset by hording up marks they’ll just have to get rid of the honor immediately into gems.

How To Profit From This

It is tough to say whether you should sell off most of your gems now at the higher prices or hold onto them after patch 3.3.3 because demand usually goes up with the spike in playing. One thing that I am going to do is start buying up epic gems the week of patch 3.3.3 when people dump their honor into gems. I’m sure the prices will bounce back eventually after everyone has run out of marks to dump and everyone had a chance to do the random battleground a couple times.

What are your thoughts on the impact of the sudden dump of marks into honor and honor being gained faster?

Good news for those with engineering, PTR Patch notes were updated for the 3.3.3 PTR to make the non-combat Pet Bombling and Lil’ Smoky bind on equip.

This will give players another method to make gold with engineering as they can craft these and supply them on the AH for players who haven’t been able to pick them up before (as they were BoP and engineer only) or players seeking to buy them towards completing acheivements.

Also savvy players without engineering have a potential to profit from this change right now by buying and selling the materials required to craft these items or going out and farming/mining to be prepared to supply the AH for the incoming spike in demand.

Main Materials required

I am only including the trade good items that I’d suggest buying now and reselling once patch goes live.
Lil Smoky = 1 x Core of Earth 2x Mithril Bar and 1x Truesilver Bar

Pet Bombling = 1x Heart of Fire 6x Mithril Bar

Buy up these items at the current 100% market price (you have been scanning the AH with auctioneer consistently right?) these items should experience a big spike in demand once patch 3.3.3 goes live. I’ve already bought up 800g worth of mithril bars and added all the above items to my Auctioneer Snatch list. Buying and selling on the auction house is a major way I make gold and I learned this technique from WoW Schools Guide.

How To Get the Recipes

The way to acquire the recipe for both pets was changed in patch 3.1 when it used to be contained in Gnome Engineer’s Renewal Gift. The recipes are now BoP drops off of mobs located in Gnomeregan.

Schematic: Lil’ Smoky drops from three different mobs in the instance – Arcane Nullifier X-21, Peacekeeper Security Suit and Crowd Pummeler 9-60. The drop rate reported on wowhead is around 1-2% which seems low, but I think this is due to engineers only getting the drop which skews the numbers for non engineers who are looting.

Schematic: Pet Bombling drops off of the last boss in the zone Mekgineer Thermaplugg, although wowhead reports that the recipe is a 9% drop rate from the boss, I believe it is a 100% drop for engineers (those without engineering don’t see the drop when they loot which skews the numbers).

Getting to Gnomeregan

I believe these pets are going to sell for high amounts of gold in the first couple of days and not many players will have hte recipie, since it is quite the hassle to get it, especially for horde players, I decided to take some time and get the recipes myself.

Gnomeregan is located in Dun Morogh which is where the main city of Ironforge is located. Horde players will have a bit of a journey getting there but a very quick way to do so for us engineers is to pick up a quest from Sovik who is the engineering mats seller located in Orgrimmar (located next to engineer trainers near the blacksmith). He’ll give you a quest called Chief Engineer Scooty, go fly to rachett and take the boat to Booty Bay.

There you meet up with Scooty who will give you a Goblin Transponder that will allow you to teleport directly to Gnomeregan instantly every time you step on the teleporter behind him. Don’t worry this is completely safe and as he adjusts the teleporter for your weight, height and size

Time To Get Patterns

I recorded the time I entered the instance (12:28am) to see how long it’d take me to find the mobs and get all the recipes, and this was a tall task as I’ve never been to Gnomeregan (I think I wound up there accidently once doing the teleporter on a previous character). I used this map to get an idea of where I was going, I found Crowd Pummler 9-60 at the south side of the Engineering Labs area (#7 on the map), he didn’t drop it, I then travelled down the thin hallway on the left towards #6 and #5 and saw a lot of the Arcane Nullifier’s and Peacekeeper Security along the way.

At 12:51am (23 minutes into the run) I looted the Lil’ Smoky pattern from an Arcane Nullifier.

I continued down the hallway towards Thermaplugg, only took me 1 minute to reach him and took him down with ease. He dropped the Pet Bombling Schematic at 12:52am with a total time of 24 minutes invested to grab these 2 schematics.

I know the time may vary, especially to get the Lil’ Smoky pattern but I wouldn’t say it’d take you more than an hour to get.

Here was a helpful comment I found on WoWhead regarding their experience with the run as well:

It took me 5 resets. To better my chances I killed Crowd Pummeler 9-60s + Arcane Nullifier X-21s + the Peacekeeper Security Suits along the way. Taking the back door I turned left directly before the elevator. This leads to Pummeler (atlas helps). Then I continued that direction and took the first left which leads into the large circular room that lies before the tunnel to Thermaplugg – this is where i found the Peacekeeper Security Suits (only 1 or 2). Then i continued down the passageway to Thermaplugg, going up and down both sides of the ramp killing Arcane Nullifiers. It was tedious but i finally got it. Just keep trying and hopefully you are more lucky than i was! source

Good luck with making gold with this change, be sure to check out my full predictions on how you can profit from patch 3.3.3 changes.

The PTR patch notes for 3.3.3 were announced last Friday and has caused quite a stir in the WoW gold making community as there are many impacts involving the auction house, professions and trade good items.

These changes will cause a lot of items to drop in price while increasing the values of others, if you act quickly enough you can buy a lot of these items from the auction house and flip them for 200%+ profit come patch time, this is the main lesson taught in WoW Schools Guide.

How to Make Gold from Patch 3.3.3

Here’s some highlights of the patch that will effect the economy [NOTE: These changes are subject to change at any time before they go live, take the below recommendations and impacts with that in mind!] You can read the most updated and full PTR patch notes here:

Frozen Orbs as Currency for Trade Goods

- Frozo the Renowned has moved into the Dalaran Magus Commerce Exchange and will be trading your Frozen Orbs for various other trade goods.

I’d say this was the biggest change announced that you can profit from, I immediately released this news on Friday so that you could be the first to profit from frozen orbs.

Check out that post for a full item list of what you can buy, but the best items you can turn in are frozen orbs 1:1 for Frost lotus and Eternal fire raising the value of a frozen orb from 7g (just above the price to sell to a vendor) to 30g. I was lucky enough to grab 200 frozen orbs at 10g each.

Another impact this change will have is lowering the price of Eternal fires and making another avenue to attain frost lotus without herbalism! This is bad news for the other herb markets as normally an herbalist will go out looking for frost lotus and will get a ton of Adder’s Tongue, Icethorn and other Northrend herbs and just throw that on the Auction House.

With this new change there will no longer be those extra herbs and I suspect the price of Adders/Icethorn and other Northrend herbs will increase in price.

Titansteel Bar Cooldown Removed

- Titansteel Bar: Creating this item no longer results in a cooldown.

Whenever you remove a barrier to creating an item you’ll see a rise in the supply which means a reduction of price. Expect to see the price of titansteel bars to plummet.

With the lowering of the cost of titansteel bars you’ll now be able to make a Mechano Hog for much less, as it took 12 titansteel bars and Arctic furs also dropped in price last patch.

One thing I am stuck on with predicting here, if the price of titansteel bars go down, you’d think that the major reagent - titanium bars – will also drop in price? however I suspect in the first couple days of this change you’ll see a rush of players wanting to make a bunch of titansteel bars which means a rise in demand for the reagents (Titanium bars, Eternal Fire, Eternal Earth and Eternal Shadow) So I bought up 100 titanium bars at the current fair market price.

I wouldn’t suggest however to purchase eternal fires as with the new turn in for frozen orbs this will flood the market witheternal fires especially in the first couple days when this change goes live.

Most 2 Ink Glyphs now 1 Ink

- Most recipes that required 2 inks now only require 1.

While not a huge change because only a small portion of glyphs are 2 inks this will simplify the glyph making industry much more now that you have a uniform cost across almost all glyphs.

Previously I had to make separate groups of glyphs that were 1 ink glyphs and another one for 2 ink glyphs as the cost to produce each are significantly different thus the lowest price I’m willing to craft them are adjusted accordingly.

This is good news for scribes however as it’ll lower the cost to make those 2 ink glyphs.

Cooldown Removed from Moonshroud, SpellWeave and Ebonweave

The cooldown and location requirements have been removed from creating Moonshroud, Spellweave and Ebonweave.

To be honest I do not have much experience in the tailoring industry but obviously you’ll find the prices of the above cloths to go down in price.

Adelleda left a great analysis of this change in my previous post about frozen orbs:

I expect the cloth prices to drop to around the cost of making them. So whats that, Imbued Frostweave cloth (16g or w/e your server has them priced at) + the cost of what ever eternal your using (Fire – 30, Life – 25, Shadow 15). Now I would expect eternal prices to rise in price with the cooldown being removed.

I’ve already sold any stock i had (not much mind you) and started buying up eternals in preparation for the patch.

Very good analysis, I would be careful about Eternal Fires as stated above with frozen orbs now being able to be turned in for them.

Crafting Items With Runed Orbs Materials Reduced

- Runed Orbs: Recipes which require this item have had their material requirements significantly reduced.

When costs are reduced to make any crafted item you should immediately be thinking about what those items disenchant into and if the cost to craft has now gone belowthe value of the enchanting materials de’ed from it.

Here’s a list of items that require Runed Orbs to craft, take note that the changes in the material costs haven’t gone live yet on the wowhead site as all of these changes are on the PTR and are subject to change at anytime. It looks like the majority of them DE into Abyss Crystals so the crafting cost would have to be lower than 20g (as Abyss Crystals are going for 20g on my server) to be profitable.

Various Changes to the Auction House UI

Many changes were announced to the auction house interface. I’d say the major change has been the ability to now post stack sizes automatically without having to do it stack by stack.

My major concern is with all these AH changes it may impact our beloved gold making addonssuch as quick auctions 3, KTQ, skillet, Auctionator, etc.. I am in the process right now of doing a video tutorial of how the new auction house compares to the old one and I’ll report back to you any issues with the addons I’m currently using.

Good luck with your profits, make sure you sell off those items that are going down in price and have had their cooldowns removed, and if you can grab frozen orbs for under 15g and maybe even titanium bars (a little more risky) I would do so.

Always be the first in the know of changes to the wow economy by subscribing to WoWConfidential and be alerted of news posts related to gold making. This will enable you to buy and sell items to flip for profit that WoW Schools teaches in their guide.

[Update 1: 10:05pm EST - Added list of items you can purchase with Frozen Orb Trade-in]

I am working on a post detailing all the profession and economy changes with patch 3.3.3 but I wanted to inform you guys of this change right away so you can pick up cheap Frozen Orbs before others buy them.

One key note is that Frozen Orbs will be used as currency to purchase items (listed below). So Buy them up!! and hold onto any orbs you do have. They are going for 7-10g on my server right now and I’ve already cleaned them out. Buying and Selling like this on the Auction house is how I’ve made a huge chunk of my gold and I learned it from WoW School’s guide.

- Frozo the Renowned has moved into the Dalaran Magus Commerce Exchange and will be trading your Frozen Orbs for various other trade goods.

http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/patchnotes/test-realm-patchnotes.html

Items you Can Buy With Frozen Orbs

For those curious, here are the items for which you can trade your Frozen Orbs to Frozo. These each cost 1 Frozen Orb unless noted otherwise in parentheses:

Crusader Orb (6)

Runed Orb (4)

Eternal Fire

Eternal Earth

Eternal Water

Eternal Air

Eternal Life

Eternal Shadow

Frost Lotus

Pattern: Frosty Flying Carpet [Tailors Only] (6)

source

Two of the items on this list stand out to me, Frost Lotus currently sell for around 55g but that price will go down on Tuesday because of the increased drop rate. However you can expect Frost Lotus to sell around 30g meaning if Frozen orbs can trade 1:1 for this item then you can buy up Frozen orbs now for up to this amount.

I am being a little more conservative and buying up to only 15g, so far I’ve bought 160 at 10g but I really notice on my server that players have got wind of this at the price on the AH is up to 40g each.

A few more quick notes:

Runed Orbs: Recipes which require this item have had their material requirements significantly reduced.

Inscription

Most recipes that required 2 inks now only require 1.

Mining

Titansteel Bar: Creating this item no longer results in a cooldown.

Tailoring

Glacial Bag: Creating this item now invokes a 7-day cooldown.

The cooldown and location requirements have been removed from creating Moonshroud, Spellweave and Ebonweave.

It has just been announced on the official wow forums that the drop rate for Frost Lotus has been increased by 50%.

This now means that the drop rate has increased from 5% to 7.5%.

Impact on the Market

Frost Lotus Price

The average price on most servers for frost lotus is typically around 45-65g per. With a 50% increase in drop rate you can expect the price to drop roughly 40%.

A few things to consider with frost lotus is most players farm it to get [x] number of frost lotus to make flasks to supply their raid then they are DONE, they will not continually farm.

This means that the time spent getting frost lotus is reduced by 50% and not so much the supply going up by 50%.

If this was an item that dropped more often from mobs/bosses that would be different since the boss is usually killed the same amount of times before and after a drop increase and the supply increase would match the drop increase, but not in this case.

Price of other Northrend Herbs

You’d think that an increased drop rate in frost lotus price would mean that more players will be going out to farm this, thus MORE Adder’s Tongue, Icethorn, Lichbloom and other Northrend herbs on the auction house = price decrease.

I think that there will be an opposite effect, most herbalists are alchemists and know that their profits lie in frost lotus, 2 of my herb farmers explicitly tell me “Hey, I’ll sell you all my adders/icethorn as I only farm for frost lotus anyways” meaning that they will get frost lotus faster thus LESS extra adder’s/Icethorn that they will post on the auction house.

Prediction: Prices of Icethorn, Adder’s, Lichbloom and other NR herbs will increase. Also more flasks will be made (due to higher sales of flasks at lower price point) which will result in more demand for goldclover and icethorn which are used in flask making.

Sell All Your Frost Lotus Now!

One thing that is for sure is the price of frost lotus will plummet come next Tuesdays maintenance when this goes live. Sell all your frost lotus as soon as possible!

Prices of Flasks will drop

With the decrease in price of the most expensive reagent of flasks you will see a significant price drop. This will not only lower the price and production cost but also I think the demand of flasks will rise a bit for casual raiders at this lower price point.

I say a bit because regular/hardcore raiders will always use flasks, with this lower price point you’ll see more casuals picking it up.

Overall this will decrease the “worth” of gold in the game, seeing as how a major expenditure for the mass population (raiders) is now going down in price and gold will now have less use. Bind on Equip items however will always inflate to “the highest people are willing to pay” so the value of gold still has meaning with rare and high demand items.
