Wanted to post a quick alert with a problem a bunch of people are reporting in our gold making chatroom.
Quick Auctions 3, the king of mass undercutting/posting is having problems with post duration. Some players make their post duration shorter for expensive items like gems to reduce the listing price and risk if you are undercut or the item doesn’t sell.
You individually set these durations per “group” in QA unless you set it to use the default duration set in the general tab. I have my gem groups set at override post time to 12 hour durations but I found that they have all been posted for 48 hours!
It isn’t such a big deal for me as I only have a few cuts on my Jewelcrafting DK alt and only posted 12 auctions at this higher listing rate, there are others I know that posted 50 gems in one go and it cost them 270g in listing costs alone.
I will post here for any updates on the situation, I already emailed the author of QA3 – Shadowed – and alternatively you can check back in the comments area of the Quick Auctions 3 DL page on Curse and the comments area on WoWinterface of QA3 where Shadowed is known to frequent.
As for a quick work around currently, I’d revert to using Auctioneer to post your expensive items and use QA 3 only for stuff like glyphs and other lower list price items. I’m going check out Auctionator and Auctionlite posting features too.

Quick Auctions 3 has been updated on Curse and on WoWinterface, you no longer need to download the source in the update below.

Shadowed responded to my email:
“Ah oops, I forgot that they changed post time stuff. I need to update it to handle the new faster posting stuff.
Anyway, try http://github.com/Shadowed/QuickAuctions let me know if that fixes it.”
So what you’ll need to do is go to that link and download it from there. The version that is on Curse is out of date! that is the version I’ve been using for a while but you see on this github he’s made little enhancements and tweaks to the coding that haven’t been posted on the WoW Curse addon site.
Be sure to make a backup of your Quickauctions file before you do this, just save it in a seperate folder incase things get messed up. And I wouldn’t worry about your settings since those are saved in your WTF folder which we aren’t touching here.
When you click the download source link the file will have a name “Shadowed-QuickAuctions-9ff178a” just rename this folder to QuickAuctions and put it in your QuickAuctions folder. I’d totally remove the old one first before putting this in.
I tested it out and it was posting my 12h auctions properly. Let me know if you are having any difficulties.
By the way, I am aware of Lil’Sparkies being broken and I’ll look into a fix for it tomorrow… in the meantime you may want to try out the addon Slyprofits which essentially does the same thing.

On a related note, do you have any idea when Lil’ Sparky’s Workshop and Skillet will be up and running on 3.3.3? Been hell keeping up with my Glyphs manually.

I downloaded this off of JMTC and installed just the lilsparky workshop and skillet and i have a working skillet with workshop and ktq. also running the most upto date altoholic.
Thanks for the link! I tried extracting just lil’ sparky and skillet but ktq produced an error. I then extracted all of them and I’m back in business. I was definitely worried for a minute. On a side note, now that Kevmar is no longer playing WoW I’m really wondering who will pick up ktq maintenance and development.
I installed all of those… now it says that I don’t have lilsparky’s clone of skillet. >.<
auctioneer found the prob. blizz changed the time from 12,24,48 to simple numbers 1,2,3 so to fix this in qa3 they just need to update it to the new time format. I haven’t told shadow this but you can.
