Today I’m posting a quick summary of my gold totals. I am going to do a breakdown post later in the week.

Progress to Hit the Cap

In my last update on March 16, 2010 I surpassed the gold cap of 214,000g in “worth” which is my inventory value plus liquid gold. That came out to 220,000g. I still have a lot of investments stored waiting for the rest of the frozen orb supply to dry up and then I can post mine at a mark up.

Today is March 29, 2010, and I am currently sitting at 260,020g total worth and 132,055 liquid gold.

It has been 13 days since the last update which means I made 40020g in that time and that equals 3,078g profit gained a day. The last profit/day was at 2,109g/day so I’ve improved my gold/day profit by 969g/day.

The rise in daily earnings is due to gaining more JC gem cuts with the DK 10K project. I am crafting gems every day and especially my solid sky sapphire cut which is selling out like crazy (post 4 each time, buy uncut at 6g, sell at 17-50g each) Other great sellers have been Bright Scarlet Ruby, Bold Scarlet Ruby, and I just sold my first Glowing Dreadstone within an hour of buying the recipe (bought dreadstone for 126g, and sold cut for 192g).

DK 10K Progress

This project has dragged on for sooo long! Even though it has been a blast trying it out and seeing how long it takes, it definitely shows that the Jewelcrafting business takes a LOT of investment to get a good profit going.

I am currently at 11,399g worth and 3,878g liquid. It says 128 hours played but we need to deduct 15 hours from the previous update and a further 10 hours of just sitting around afk (like I’m doing now while writing this post) so it is more like 100 hours played. Which equals 4 days played.

My investments into the JC business

1. Getting JC Recipes: Faster = buying titanium powder or damaged necklaces, Slower = JC daily.

- I’ve bought in total 8 cuts, at 350g each (minus 2 recipes gained from JC daily) that comes out to 2,100g invested in gem recipes.

2. Investing into an uncut gem stockpile to meet demand. I set up a snatch list to buy out any gems I find under my buy price which I calculated using my jewelcrafting profit from low cost gems spreadsheet.

Doing this means I have a lot of low cost inventory that’ll give me a nice Return on Investment once the cut version sells but it’s bringing down my liquid gold amount. I just can’t wait to hit 10K so I can get a lot more cuts. Oh and I hit level 67 from only doing the JC daily! All of level 66-67 was from that quest.

I am going to stop building up inventory and just liquidate everything I can this week to hit 10k and wrap this up. I’ll then invest a lot of gold from my main and start producing every profitable gem I can to hopefully bump up my daily profit from 3,000g/day to 5,000g+.

Thanks for keeping up with the updated. I am really looking foward to the drarkmoon faire which happens next weekend so I can get rid of the 35,000g worth of cards I forgot to turn in. Also this week should be my opportunity to sell off frozen orbs and eternal fires as I believe the majority of stock players had is now over.
