OH I’m so excited! Jame has just released his new free leveling guide for WOTLK.
How does the idea of getting 500k – 600k exp an hour sound to you? Level every 2-3 hours!
Jame’s leveling guides are a step by step quest walk-through which uses “optimized quest circuits” focused on one thing only – getting to level 80 the fastest.
While Zygor’s Guide and Joana’s guide is the best if you have a little money to spend, since they have an in-game interface and Jame’s is website based, you get what you pay for.
What do I mean by optimized quest circuits? Here is how Jame’s leveling guide has a lot of value:
Quest Order
Jame has experienced all the quests in each zone, so he can go back and re arrange them in the most efficient order to provide synergy with other quests. This ensures that you always overlap quests that involve the same mob or area. I hate it when I go somewhere to do a “Gather (y) item from (x) mob” then find out from another quest giver who asks me to “Kill (x) (the same mob) 20 times” realizing it would of saved me a lot of time if I had both quests before.
Time Saving
You never waste any time thinking of the next best place to go, where to find quests, how to do it. Jame’s guide shows you exactly where you should be and what to do and also thinks ahead for you for things like setting your hearthstone so you can port back when you go do the far quests… now thats efficiency!
Jame’s Guide vs Quest Helper/Carbonite
While qh and carb show you where to go to complete objectives for quests you are on, you need the human input of Jame’s guide to know the order in which to get the quests and complete them for the best efficiency. I was getting around 150k-250k exp an hour doing quests as I found them in the towns but wasted time figuring out where to get more quests or what I “should” be doing.
Jame’s Guide vs Zygor’s Guide and Joana’s guide
One thing I noticed already that Jame’s guide is missing compared to Joana’s and Zygor’s guides is that theirs are all done using an in-game interface so you don’t need to alt-tab out and scroll around to find where to go next, you will have indicators on your wow map to show you where to go and objectives to complete which raise your exp/hour. If you don’t mind spending a few bucks on a guide that will be the most efficient leveling, then Zygor’s/Joana’s is the way to go.

I started leveling an alt from 0-70 last month, and I’ve been using Jame’s guides since level 35ish. They are simply awesome.
Even considering the latest patches’ changes to XP from 60 to 70, I was astonished how quickly I progressed. I was past level 62 before setting foot in Outlands, and 67 as I finished Zangarmarsh.
Besides being crazily efficient, it’s got some little bonuses as well, like getting you the OOX pet and completing all of Linken’s quest chain in the quickest possible way.
Can’t go wrong with FREE!
If you don’t have a second computer (I have Jame’s guides up on a laptop that sits next to my chair where I game), you can always print out the guides (printer friendly link at the bottom of each guide). If you don’t have access to a printer or second computer, Jame suggests running in “windowed mode” to avoid the alt-tab route. But, I suppose, if you have extra money lying around, by all means, spend some on an in-game version of the free things
But the guides are VERY helpful. I keep trying to second guess the guide, and find that I wasted time by NOT following what Jame suggests. Very good, very complete guides, and I’m consistently 2 levels above where he says you should be (and that means more gold faster, according to his advice).
I’m thinking about getting a level guide wich one should i take zygors or joane’s!atm im working whit the questhelper addon from curse.com but i wonder if it can go any faster!pls help me whit this
I would recommend you try out Zygor’s guide over Joana’s, more positive reviews and feedback I’ve received.
Also, Jame’s guides have an addon forum, which integrates them into the tourguide interface.
No guide will ever compete with quest helper. These guys seem so happy that it took them 6 days to get 70… so i checked my hunter's play time… level 71, 2 days played. Quest Helper FTW.
The two guide are very good, I have done 70-80 in one week without playing like a no-life
