Analysis and Discussion of Making Gold in World of Warcraft

wowconfidential On February - 5 - 2010

Patch 3.3.2 opened up the Icecrown weekly quests and there are some pretty great rewards that come with completing it each week. Best of all this weekly quest does not count as your raid weekly quest so they can be done in the same week.

Rewards

Upon completing the Icecrown weekly quest you are awarded with a Sack of Frosty Treasures which contains the following:

- 5 x Emblems of Frost

- Chance to get an Icecrown BOE item (Here’s a list of Icecrown BoE items)

- 56 gold

The value of the random BoE drop will be insanely inflated in the first couple weeks due to supply and demand. For Example Wodin’s Lucky Necklace is currently listed on my servers auction house for 15,000g, imagine completing one quest and getting that?

While the % is very low (no concrete numbers yet) it still makes the weekly quest extremely high on the gold making scale in the first couple of weeks so make sure this is something you get done ASAP each week.

Residue Rendezvous
Respite for a Tormented Soul

Actually, you’re list of BoE items is a little off. It should be this list:

I got Ikfirus’s Sack of Wonders in my bag on Tuesday.

This is pretty cool, I didn’t know they were going to implement this and I just purchased a BoE item off the AH to flip, hopefully I’ll still be able to make a profit.

I hate to double post, but I also wanted to note that originally when ICC was released it seemed like it was going to take forever to get enough badges to actually get any gear.

It seems like they’re coming out with a lot of different ways to get badges rather than just looting them from the boss. I kind of like where they’re going with that.
