Buying and Selling on the auction house is the most lucrative way to make gold in World of Warcraft if you understand the economy and can spot opportunities. It is one of my main ways of making gold aside from following Luke’s Guide.
Patch 3.0.9 provides many changes; you can read the changes so far at MMO-Champion.
Along with all these changes,blizzard is considerably changing a few glyphs but only 2 of them are being buffed:
Glyphs
- Glyph of Arcane Missiles — Increases the critical strike damage bonus of Arcane Missiles by 25%. (Old – Increases the range of Arcane Missiles by 5 yards.)
- Glyph of Mana Gem — Increases the mana recieved from using a mana gem by 40%. (Up from 10%)
These glyphs will now be in huge demand once patch 3.0.9 goes live (most likely this Tuesday, Feb 10th 2009)
It’s my prediction that the prices for these glyphs will increase at least by 4x.
Here are the current prices on Tichondrius:
Glyph of Arcane Missles – 65silver (Prediction 15g)
Glpyh of Mana Gem – 8g (Prediction 20g)
I predict these prices will go up to the current price of top major glyphs that mages use: 15-20g
Also, the raw materials used to create these glyphs should go up in value as well:

If the prices haven’t already shot up on all these items I’d suggest to buy them and put them back up for sale after the patch and reap the profits!
