Arena season 8 is expected to begin on Tuesday, February the 2nd with patch 3.3.2.

As we know when new patches come around there is a major spike in activity on all the servers, new content to be beaten and everyone wants to get a head start on their arena season to try their shot at becoming a gladiator.

With the launch of the new arena season will come access to all the new honor gear and arena gear. Most devoted pvp players would have saved up their 75,000 honor and badges to turn in for gear within the first week of the launch.

Make sure you follow these steps to really benefit from this spike in demand.

Rise in demand for Enchanting Scrolls and Gems

With all the new gear being obtained from honor purchases as well as the new Icecrown wings, players will be searching the auction house to pick up enchanting scrolls and gems.

Be sure to build up a stock pile of these items to be prepared for the demand, post more stock at a time than you would normally, especially on tuesday, to ensure that you don’t sell out too fast before you next log on.

Also be aware that pvp gems that may not have been moving well for you in the last week or two will experience a big spike in demand, so stock up on those resil/stamina and combination pvp gems beforehand. Another thing to take note of is resilience has been buffed up and gems with res on it will be in much more demand now.

Rise in Demand of Glyphs

One of the driving forces of glyphs is the fact that players constantly switch between their PvE and PvP dual specs. In the last week, arenas weren’t playable for points and thus no one was switching over to their pvp specs and didn’t need to switch their glyphs.

I saw in my servers glyph market a big drop in demand for glyphs, I am fully expecting sales to spike on Tuesday and the weeks to follow.

On my server the night of a new patch is completely unplayable for me between 8:30pm – 10:00pm, so what I’m doing is crafting 3x as many glyphs as normal and posting 3x as much stock at 7:00pm to be sure I cover all the sales.

Rise in Demand of Eternal Belt Buckles

Stock up and post eternal belt buckles. One of the first items players purchase with honor is the belt, after purchasing bracers. These items require a much lower arena rating and will need new eternal belt buckles to stick gems into.

Foreseeing demand spikes and ensuring you are stocking up the auction house with those items that will be needed allows you to make all of those extra sales and react to the market before your competitors catch on

Don’t forget to capatilize on week 4-5! That’s when all the serious gladiator vets shoot for the weapon. That’s the soonest they are available, and they provide a big boost to a PvPers effectiveness. They’re gonna want to get those things enchanted (and gemmed in many cases).
