I have just finished work on a comprehensive inscription gold making guide that has all my knowledge I learned in the last 3 months gaining 200,000g with inscription in one place.
I made this into a resource page so that I could add/delete relevant information as the game changes and methods of earning gold with inscription change. You can see it is now at the top of the page on the main menu bar, I really need to change the graphic there though it seems a little hard to read.

I’m new to Inscription (actually started it to make my own Darkmoon decks, going to work on ‘Insane in the Membrane’ achieve) buuut I figure if I can make some g (at least ‘break even’ but profit is even better) then yeah!
And I didn’t feel arsed to scour the inet to cobble together resources so I’ve just been ‘fly by the seat of my pants’ so far.

i have a few questions not mentioned in your guide (its fantastic btw)
how exactly would you start up a glpyh business? get the mats make glpyhs and stock pile them for a bit then start posting? or buy mats make glpyhs then post?
and another is it worth it to get into the business this late in the expansion?
I’ve read about people using inscription to make money but on my server I am just not sure its possible – the price of glyphs is so low. I’ve grabbed the market price for a few glyphs compared to you screenshot (I realise this might not be the exact price you charge but it gives an idea of the differences)

In this case is it worth me even trying to enter the market with the initial investment I would need to make to level inscription? I did think about just buying up all of the cheap glyphs on the market and relisting them, thereby saving me having to actually level inscription but I kinda get the feeling that there would be too many people listing cheap glyphs for me to keep up with. Would love to know your opinion on what to do on a server where the glyph market has bombed.
I just switched servers with my Scribe so I’ve been paying a lot of attention to prices etc. Maybe 1/3 and as low as a quarter of my glyphs actually get posted due to low prices. Only posting 3 of each Glyph for the time being. Over the last 2 days (Sun and Mon) I sold about 200 glyphs. My price range is 10g – 75g. After subtracting the costs (5g x 200 glyphs) I made ~700g profit.
Also, as far as leveling your inscription, its nice that everything your making from the beginning can get sold on the AH. Not for a lot, but at least it makes back some of your costs. Especially compared to the other professions where its all vendor bait.

A while Back I used your guides to great success.
A couple days ago, I cross factioned to horde on the same server with my Inscriber/Enchanter to play with IRL friends. Now I am having a major problem though. Altoholic is seeing all my glyphs/inks/etc on the Alliance side as well. Does anybody know of anyway to turn off the functionality in Altoholic so that I CAN’T see cross faction?
Well I deleted and re-installed Altoholic, that works for the time being, but now I can’t log into that char without messing it up again.
