Hi Scarlett, you can get to dalaran at any level by having a mage teleport you there, the only issue after that is getting the flight paths off of Dalaran since you can’t fly off the island yourself.

You can go through the sewers and jump off the island, you’ll die but can run to your corpse as a ghost then you’re at the bottom! Be sure to keep a good distance from the mobs in crystalsong forest as they’ll be much higher level.

Hey Kraklin! I’ve been reading your blog with great interest since I started playing WoW back in July. I’ve nearly max leveled my JC profession but my Pally is only Lvl 71 and I was led to believe that it’s not possible to get to Dalaran until Lvl 74. So I’m curious how you were able to run the JC dailies at Lvl 66?

AMAZING guide. I’ve really enjoyed reading it. I’m currently getting into my gem market and trying to decide if I should just buy cheap raw gems and cut them or if I should be farming BG’s and then cutting gems for the AH. BGs will take more time but the profit is higher. Any suggestions?

Grats on the DK project K. Happy to see you didnt get too frustrated by all the noobish JC competition out there and are finally making a nice profit margin. I’m also working on a DK and semi-powerleveling his enchanting whenever I get bored on my druid or hunter. Hoping to get him 450 capped by Cata and by then I’ll have a transmutation specialist, a JC and an enchanter to rake in the gold come expansion. Good luck, all the best.

I sell the heck out of Solid Sky Sapphires. Honestly I am selling 3x more blue quality gems then epic gems. The Epic market on my server is very up and down. Seems that the random undercuter resets the market 25g-45g lower then normal. I suppose the mindless QA3′ers that just undercut the lowest auction perpetuate the problem but anyway.

Grats. I find it interesting to see the actual server numbers from someone else. My server is a good 25% less in costs/sales compared to your numbers. I find it really interesting to see what gems sell well on a different server as well.

A tip for others reading and not sure what gem recipe to pick:
- get auctioneer (or any similar one)
- get auctionator (for the BUY feature)
- do a few scans of the AH to get a good price baseline (3-5 days worth)
- search for the raw gem name in Auctionator. The results will show each cut gem as well and you can hover over the names to figure out the one with the best profit. Pay attention to the number of gems sold!

For example, I found that Rigid King’s Amber was an underused market with great profit potential and I make 2K in a week just off those gems.
